Vijender Singh: Confidence to Win Gold Metal at Olympics

Vijender Singh became the first player in the category of boxing from India to win an Olympics medal at the time and he has won the bronze medal at Beijing Olympics held in the year 1998. A top-ranked boxer in the middle-weight class, Vijender also has won a bronze at the World Amateur Boxing Championships the very after that year.

This fabulous player Vijender has come from the little hamlet and now become one of the apache top sporting icons of the motherland. Despite having attracted massive media and public concentration, Vijender’s focal point has not in reality shifted. His on-court presentation has increased greater than the years. His requirement for London Games proves that the boxer is in first-class shape and can be successful us an Olympics medal this moment in time too.

Vijender has said now “I am happy with my preparations so far. We are having a very good time at NIS, Patiala under our Cuban coach and our national coaches. We are preparing really hard for the London Games. Like every Olympian, I want to win the gold medal. It’s a dream for everybody. I won bronze in Beijing, and I obviously want to better my performance in London. Believe me… I don’t have to tell them many things. They are talented, hardworking and they know what they need to do to bring joy to the people of India. It’s a privilege to be around them and work with them.”
