Sachin Tendulkar Rested In Sri Lanka Series

Indian Cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar has not been selected in the upcoming cricket series held in Sri Lanka and this news announced yesterday. As the schedule, India will play five one day internationals and plus one off T20 matches commenced on August 7.

Sachin Tendulkar, now 39 years old, has been achieved the hundredth century in the time of Asia cup held in Dhaka at March. He is the globes foremost cricket player, also referred as God of Cricket by his fans worldwide, got high scores both in One Day International and in test matches. 

Still now, Sachin Tendulkar did not attend the international Twenty20 games and also didn’t come under the list of twenty20 matches yet he selected in ODI in recent years. The selection goes to Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan for the matches going to held in Sri Lanka, who has missed the chance in Asia Cup due to injuries. 

Sehwag last year became only the second batsman subsequent to Tendulkar to hammer a double-century in one-day internationals. He has far scored 8,090 runs in 245 one-dayers with 15 hundreds. Zaheer, who played his last one-dayer in February, has bagged 278 wickets in 195 matches.

Left-arm spinner player Pragyan Ojha has replaced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who was part of the Indian squad in the Asia Cup. Ojha played his last one-day international in Sri Lanka in August 2010. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will lead the 15-man squad, with batsman Virat Kohli as his deputy.
