The foremost tennis
player Maria Sharapova, who has won the French title recently, has to be
declared as female flag bearer beloved to Russia in the Olympic open ceremony.
She is the first female player to carry the flag and this plan announced on
Tuesday.
The former globe number one tennis player will lead the
Russian hand over at the London Olympics which are slated for later this month.
This opportunity will be her first ever exterior at Olympics after missing the
previous two editions in Athens and Beijing.

(ROC) has been highlighted as announcing in the press meets as “Sharapova will
carry our flag.” He also added “She was
the most worthy candidate among all our athletes. In June she claimed her
fourth grand slam title (French Open)”
